With more and more people hiring cars abroad it is important to be aware that Car Hire companies can charge extremely high excesses despite selling Comprehensive Car Hire Insurance.
Your car hire agreement generally covers you for Collision Damage Waiver and Theft. In most agreements you are still liable for the first portion of the repair or replacement costs, which can vary from € 100 up to € 2,000. This high excess can apply to a small scratch on a car, a chip in a windscreen and damage to tyres or mirrors.
A Car Hire Excess policy can provide Single or Annual cover at a low price and we can even include cover within your usual country of residence (25km from residence) for a further small additional cost.
Our policy also allows up to 5 additional drivers to be covered once they are named on the rental agreement.
